What does WordPress support include?
WordPress support from Left Bank Design covers fixing problems and making changes on any WordPress or WooCommerce website. That includes hacked site clean-ups, errors after updates, broken forms, slow pages, content updates, new landing pages and integrations with tools like Xero, MYOB and HubSpot.

What can go wrong with a WordPress site?
Most WordPress problems fall into five groups: hacks, clashes after updates, forms that stop sending, slow loading and odd errors. WordPress is a great platform, and most days it just works. Then an update clashes with a plugin, or someone gets in who shouldn’t, and your website is suddenly the most urgent thing in the business.
Hacked or full of spam
Strange pages in Google, redirects to sites you’ve never heard of, a warning from your host. We clean it up, find how they got in and close the door behind them.
Broken after an update
A white screen, a page that’s lost its layout, or the dreaded “critical error”. We roll back what broke, fix the clash and get you running again.

Why do budget WordPress sites cause problems?
Budget WordPress sites often cause problems because they’re built as a patchwork. When Left Bank Design opens up a site built on a tight budget, we usually find free plugins stacked on free plugins, each one added to solve a single problem.

- We take a look and give you a plan. What’s wrong, what it’ll cost and how long it’ll take, before we start.
- We fix it. You get a short note on what we did and why it happened, in plain English.
- You decide what’s next. Leave it there, buy a block of hours for future changes, or put the site on SiteSafe so it’s watched around the clock.
Left Bank Design needs a WordPress admin login and, for hacked sites, access to your hosting. Sites built by other developers are fine. We work on WordPress and WooCommerce sites built by other people too.

Can my website talk to my other systems?
Yes. Left Bank Design connects WordPress and WooCommerce websites to the software your business already runs, so orders, bookings and vouchers don’t get retyped. Every time someone copies data from one system into another, you’re paying for it twice, and that’s where mistakes creep in.
The everyday ones. Xero or MYOB for invoices and payments, HubSpot for enquiries and email lists, booking engines, payment gateways. Often there’s a ready-made connector and it’s a quick job.
The ones nobody else will touch. When there’s no off-the-shelf option, we build it. Like gift vouchers sold on your website that land straight in your hotel’s booking system, ready to redeem at check-in. No double handling, no spreadsheet in between.

WordPress support from Left Bank Design costs $140/hour ex GST, billed in 15-minute blocks, or $630 ex GST for a prepaid 5-hour block valid for 12 months. Hacked site rescue for sites not on a SiteSafe plan starts from $350 ex GST. There’s no call-out fee.

More than you’d think. We bill in 15-minute blocks, so a small job costs a small amount.
A small fix can be a single block. You only pay for the time a job actually takes, and the rest stays in the bank for next time.

Can you help if you didn’t build my website?
Yes. If it runs on WordPress, we can work on it. We’ll take a look first and tell you honestly if it’s worth fixing or due for a rebuild.
Do you support WooCommerce shops?
Yes. Left Bank Design supports WooCommerce shops as well as standard WordPress sites, from checkout problems and payment gateways to product updates and shipping rules.
How quickly can you start?
Urgent jobs, like a hacked or broken site, go to the front of the queue. Everyday changes depend on the job, but we’re fast, and you’ll know when to expect it before we start.
My site’s been hacked. What should I do right now?
Don’t delete anything, and change your WordPress and hosting passwords. Then get in touch. The files that look strange are often the clues to how they got in.
Do the support hours expire?
A 5-hour block is valid for 12 months from when you buy it.
What’s the difference between support and SiteSafe?
Support is someone making changes and fixing problems when you ask. SiteSafe is security and maintenance running in the background every day. Many clients have both.
Do I need to give you my password?
No. We’ll ask you to create a separate admin login for us, so you can remove it whenever you like.
Are your prices including GST?
No. All prices are ex GST.
